I came across this funny little blog the other day affectionately called Cake Wrecks. It focuses on creative cake design ideas that are more often than not less than successful.
Things from two giant olive shaped cakes for a busty blonde bombshell; messages to bakers literally translated onto cakes in icing, life-sized molds of brides-to-be, baby bottoms, crusty moldy feet, and numerous spelling errors.
It reminds of the many Secret Ingredients Cookbook recipes I’ve come across including Dirt Cake, Cat Litter Cake, and Puppy Chow.
The blog is sure to give you a laugh, and make you think twice about your next cake order. Enjoy!
That’s it for me, until next time…

It’s cold outside! We’ve been very fortunate to have few clouds and rain this week in Seattle, but wow, it’s really cold out there. I’m very thankful for these days because it’s nice to see the sun every now in then as a reminder that it still exists!
These cold winter days make cooking and anything warm feel so good. We’ve rounded up some warm & cozy winter recipes from our favorite bloggers. These recipes are perfect to share with friends or to eat before curling up with a good book.
Have a great weekend and stay warm!

Cooking is therapeutic for me. I only cook my favorite recipes when I have time to really enjoy the process and when there aren’t a million other things on my mind. I light some candles, put on my favorite cooking music, and dive into my recipe- enjoying every little step. I even have iTunes playlists (Kate’s Groove Kitchen and Jazzy Fun Kitchen Time) just for the these times!
Can you imagine cooking a new recipe every day for an audience? That’s exactly what food bloggers do! Not only do they cook something each day which obviously involves trips to the market and lots of dishwashing, but they make it presentable enough to photograph. Then, they take the photographs of the creations, upload them, and then write about the whole experience. Wow, that’s amazing!
Here are some recent recipes and posts from some of our favorite bloggers. I thought you might enjoy the inspiration and reading about some of the stories behind the recipes!
